The Ronni Denes Education Fund was established by the Art and Remembrance Board of directors to honor the memory of one of our founding Board members and one of our dearest friends. Ronni began her career as a classroom teacher and spent the rest of her professional life working to provide educational opportunities for young people, particularly those underserved. Fittingly, the fund will help support educators in sharing lessons about the Holocaust and applying them to present-day social justice issues.

At a time of rising hate crimes, bullying and fear of the “other,” Art and Remembrance’s efforts to counter these disturbing trends by equipping educators with new resources to reach young people—using the power of art and personal narrative–could not be more urgent.
